Q: Is HLC a one-to-one specialist?
A: Yes. Since HLC was established in 1985 we have concentrated on one-to-one instruction. We do not normally offer group courses. There will not be more than 4 students at the HLC at any one time, and all of them will be studying one-to-one on courses designed specifically for each client.

Q: Does the HLC use host families?
A: No. All our clients are accommodated at the HLC in private rooms, so there are no transportation problems or quality differences in accommodation.

Q: Is the HLC in a good location?
A: Yes. The HLC is located directly on the seafront, with wonderful views in a peaceful, relaxing, rural environment. It is also accessible, being only 30 minutes from Inverness airport, which has direct flights to London Gatwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Luton. In addition it is well-placed for exploring the Highlands of Scotland - Loch Ness, the West Coast, castles and whisky distilleries are all within driving range. A car is provided and our teaching programme gives you free time on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, in addition to the evenings, for exploring.

Q: Is it expensive?
A: No. Prices for our Individual Intensive start at £1750 per week including all meals, 36 hours one-to-one instruction, private rooms, sauna, all teaching materials, the use of a car (excluding petrol costs), transfer to and from Inverness airport.

Q: How long is a typical course ?
A: Courses vary from 1 week to a maximum of 4 weeks.
