HLC Location:

The Highland Language Centre is in Rosemarkie near Inverness in the North of Scotland.
Rosemarkie
Rosemarkie is a small seaside village 20 minutes by car from Inverness, the capital of the Scottish Highlands. From your bedroom you can hear the sound of the waves on the shore and, if you are lucky, see the local dolphins playing in the bay. Take a walk along the shore or up the Fairy Glen. If you are more active, we can arrange other activities such as golf, sailing, fishing or tennis

The Black Isle
The Black Isle is not in fact an island, but a peninsula. It has a variety of small villages with interesting historic buildings - museums, cathedrals - all accessible by car. The bays on either side of the Black Isle are famous for their wildlife - dolphins, seals, otters & birds. Several of these villages offer dolphin cruises for those who want to get a little closer to them.

Inverness
Recently granted city status, Inverness is the historic centre for many cultural events, with an excellent theatre, cinemas, and a good range of shops and restaurants.

Highlands of Scotland
The rugged West Coast, the mysterious Loch Ness, the tranquil glens and the heather moors, are the settings for castles, gardens and whisky distilleries, most accessible in an afternoon with the HLC car.
